Weather to pick up in Mayo from April 20 after extended unsettled spell
Met. Eireann is forecasting the weather will improve in Mayo from Monday, April 20.
The long range picture is indicating more settled conditions with high pressure dominating, mainly to the north, generating an easterly airflow.
Temperatures will likely be above normal and most places will be drier than normal though some Irish Sea coastal areas may be closer to average.
Fog is a potential hazard during this period to Sunday, April 26.
The following week, April 27 to May 3, is signalling that most places will continue drier than normal but some southern and southeastern coastal areas may have closer to their average amounts. Again, fog is a potential hazard.
The opening days of May are expected to return to unsettled conditions.
