Mayo community grieves passing of 'lovely lady' Maureen Hoban
The death of Maureen Hoban (née Fadden) Aughaluskey, and formerly of Hollyhill, Castlebar, has evoked a tremendous sense of loss in the community.
A member of a widely-known and popular family, she died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Warm tributes are being paid to her on social media where she is described as 'a lovely lady'.
Maureen is deeply regretted by her daughters Bríd Hubert (France), Sharon Williams (Killarney), Ruth (Castlebar), Mona Sors (France) and Valerie O'Dwyer (Birmingham), son Barry, brothers Patsy (Castlebar), Eddie (Newport) and Tom (Hollyhill), grandchildren Rory, Pierce, Finn and Juliette, sons-in-law Patrick, Enda, Henri and David, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.
She was predeceased by her husband Jimmy, brothers Liam, Fr. Michael, Jack and Danny and her sister Bridie Kilcullen.
Maureen will repose in Ballyheane Community Centre, Ballyheane, on Tuesday from 5.30 to 7 p.m.
Requiem Mass takes place in St. Patrick's Church, Ballyheane, at 12 noon on Wednesday with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.
