Mayo team named for Under 20 final against Roscommon

Mayo manager Keith Higgins has named his team for the Dalata Connacht GAA Under 20 Football Championship final against Roscommon this evening (Wednesday) in Tuam Stadium.

After an impressive four wins from four in the round robin phase, Higgins and his selectors have opted to retain the same starting line-up that featured in their most recent outing against Galway in Castlebar, with Colm Lynch from the Parke/Keelogues/Crimlin club as captain.

Throw-in at Tuam Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance online via Universe. For those unable to attend, the game will be shown live by TG4 on their YouTube channel.

The Mayo team in full is as follows: Conor Meaney (Westport); James Lavelle (Belmullet), Tom Lambert (Westport), Aaron Coggins (Crossmolina); Colm Lynch (Parke/Keelogues/Crimlin), Rio Mortimer (Claremorris), Josh Moyles (Crossmolina); Darragh Staunton (Knockmore), Joey Holmes (Westport); Andrew Quinn (Mayo Gaels), Kobe McDonald (Crossmolina), Dylan Flynn (Crossmolina); Darragh Beirne (Claremorris), Oisín Deane (Crossmolina), Tom Lydon (The Neale).

On the subs' bench are: Conor Bohan (Ardnaree), Yousif Coghill (Breaffy), Dara Neary (Parke/Keelogues/Crimlin), Thomas Tuffy (Swinford), Mark Noonan (Claremorris), Conor Jordan (Ballina Stephenites), Ben Holmes (Westport), Cian Walsh (Castlebar Mitchels), Josh Carey (Kiltane).

The extended panel features the following: Ben Joyce (Castlebar Mitchels), Ben Thornton (Ballina Stephenites), Cathair Tighe (Ardnaree), Craig Cassidy (Claremorris), Dáithí Butler (The Neale), Eoin McGreal (Garrymore), Sean Walsh (Killala), Senan Guilfoyle (Eastern Gaels), Tiernan Egan (Hollymount/Carramore), Seán Óg McGuinness (Crossmolina), Nathan Roddy (Ardnaree), Shane Cunningham (Castlebar Mitchels).

The two counties produced a cracker in last year's Under 20 final, with Mayo - then under the management of Peadar Gardiner - prevailing in the end to capture their first title at the grade in seven years. They have a great chance to go back-to-back now.
