Launch of 2026 Ronan Clarke Run in north Mayo

The official launch of the 2026 Ronan Clarke 10k Run & 5k Run/Walk took place recently at Killala Community Centre. It was conducted by Anthony Hennigan, sports editor of the Western People.

This year's event takes place on Sunday, June 7, at 12 noon, with registration in Killala Community Center from 10.30 a.m.

All proceeds from the 2026 Ronan Clarke Run will be donated to the Mayo Roscommon Hospice and the Killala GAA Benevolent Fund. Ronan enjoyed a stellar playing career with Killala before his untimely death.

Members of the Clarke family and the Killala GAA Club executive attended the launch.
