Mayo host Sligo in crucial Nickey Rackard Cup fixture

Mayo host Sligo today (Saturday) at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park, Castlebar, in their penultimate game of the Nicky Rackard Cup round-robin series.

Mayo and Sligo have both recorded two wins from their opening three matches, and a victory for either this afternoon would significantly increase their chances of reaching the knockout stages.

Tyrone looked poised to top the standings and go straight into the final, while the runners-up will face New York in a semi-final. Mayo currently lie in second place but are ahead of Sligo on score difference only.

For Mayo, there are three changes to the side that overcame Fermanagh last time out, with Bobby Douglas, Conal Hession and Adrian Phillips all named in the starting team.

Throw-in at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance from selected Centra and SuperValu shops or online via Ticketmaster.
