Death of 'kind lady' Helen Coyne is deeply regretted in Mayo

The death has occurred of Helen Coyne (née Creaby), Westleigh House, Rathbawn Road, Castlebar, and formerly of Leigh, Lancashire, U.K.

She died peacefully at Mayo University Hospital.

Helen has been described in social media tributes as 'a warm, lovely and kind lady'.

She will be sadly missed and never forgotten by her husband Michael, formerly of Cross, Louisburgh, daughters Margaret O'Malley (Louisburgh) and Kathleen O'Malley (Castlebar), son Michael (Holywood, Co. Down), her cherished grandchildren Steven, Shona, Jennifer, Rachel and Vicki and her adored great-grandchildren Archie and Teddy, sons-in-law Vincent and Noel, daughter -in-law Deirdre, brother and sisters, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.

Helen was predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary (née McGee) and her beloved granddaughter Nikita O’Malley in February 2021.

Remains are reposing at Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar, this evening (Tuesday) with prayers at 8 p.m.

The funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10.40 a.m. for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.

Afterwards, Helen will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Castlebar.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.
