Cool and showery conditions to continue across Mayo on Thursday

Mayo is set for another cool and unsettled day on Thursday, May 14, with cloudy conditions dominating through the morning and showers expected to become prolonged at times.

The showers are forecast to become more isolated during the afternoon as sunny spells gradually develop.

Temperatures will remain on the cool side, with highest values of just 10 to 13 degrees in a fresh northerly breeze.

Thursday night is expected to be mainly dry, with clear spells and only isolated showers.

It will turn chilly overnight, with temperatures dropping to between 2 and 6 degrees in a light to moderate northwesterly breeze.

Looking ahead, Met Eireann say Friday will be largely dry, but more unsettled conditions are expected to develop at times over the weekend and into early next week.

Temperatures are set to remain below average for the time of year, with the cool spell continuing across the region.
