Opportunities being explored at popular Mayo walking route

OPPORTUNITIES at the booster station walk outside Castlebar are being explored.

Responding to a query about works and signage at the popular walk from Councillor Ger Deere, tourism officer Anna Connor said they had looked at signage.

But she felt there was an opportunity 'to do a few things out' at the location.

It was commonage, she explained, and they had to be mindful of the need to have consultations with those owners.

If they were favourable, the council could do some improvement works.
