Crossing The Firebreak

DONALD Teskey's Crossing The Firebreak exhibition has been proving extremely popular locally.

The exhibition in the Ballina Civic Offices gallery space was due to finish last Friday (July 27) but, due to phenomenal demand, was been extended by a week.

However, you really are running out of time to experience the exhibition as it will come to end tomorrow (Friday, August 3).

Held in association with the Oliver Sears Gallery, Dublin, Crossing The Firebreak formed part of the inaugural Ballina Fringe Festival programme.

It focuses on Teskey’s recent paintings inspired by his ongoing fascination with the rugged coastline of north Mayo as well as countryside locations from Dublin, Co. Cork and the Lee Valley and new works from Gougane Barra Forest Park.

Teskey is one of Ireland’s most prolific artists, with a 40-year career encompassing diverse media including drawing, painting, printmaking and watercolour.
