The girls at Curiosity are ready for their abseil challenge.

Croke Park abseil for MS Ireland

AS many as 9,000 people and their families in Ireland live with multiple sclerosis at present.

MS Ireland is the only national organisation providing support and services to the MS community. Fundraising is very important to MS Ireland as the government contribution only covers 50% of the cost of providing these services.

With this in mind, Melissa, Lynne and Mary of the Curiosity shop in Westport have taken upon themselves the abseil challenge - descending 150ft off the roof of Croke Park stadium on Saturday, October 20.

Multiple sclerosis is very close to hearts in Curiosity and they have supported the MS Mayo branch for many years with donations, but this year they decided to take it one step further to raise even more for this very worthy cause.

They recently held a bake sale in Lecanvey Community Centre to boost their fundraising efforts and the response was amazing. In addition to this, sponsorship cards are available in Curiosity and an online donation link can be found on the Curiosity Facebook page.

The trio would like to thank all who have supported them so far - the response has been overwhelming - but please, if you haven’t already dropped by, do pop in to Curiosity and sponsor what you can.
