Castlebar mourns passing of two respected personalities

THE community of Castlebar is mouning the passing of two much-loved personalities.

The death has taken place of Mary McMorrow (née Gallagher), Rathbawn Road, Castlebar, and late of Thower, Inver. She was predeceased by her husband Ted.

Mary is survived by her daughters Maria, Anita and Nuala, sons James, Joseph and Sean, 16 grandchildren including Avril and Sean, brother Martin, sisters Kathleen and Bridget, her close niece Bride, daughters-in-law Ann-Marie, Barbara and Pauline, sons-in-law Paul and Denis, extended family, her neighbours and large circle of friends.

Her remains will be reposing at the family residence on Rathbawn Road, Castlebar, this evening (Monday) from 5 until 7 p.m., with removal on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, arriving at 10.30 a.m. for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.

Burial takes place afterwards in Castlebar New Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Angela Irwin (née Nevin), 4, The Cedars, Breaffy Road, Castlebar, and late of Newport.

She is deeply regretted by her husband Padraig, daughter Kiara, son Liam, brothers Michael (Glenhest), Colm (Sligo), Kevin (Plymouth), Rory (Westport), Declan (Newport) and Adrian (London), sisters Geraldine (Walsh), (London), Finola (Duffy), (Belmullet), Fidelma (Mullarkey), (Newport), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her remains will be reposing at her residence on Wednesday evening from 4 to 8 pm.

Removal takes place on Thursday morning to St. Aloysius Church, Breaffy, to arrive at 11.30 a.m. for Requiem Mass at 12 noon.

Burial takes place afterwards in Breaffy Cemetery.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the McMorrow and Irwin families on their loss.
