And they're off - setting out on the trip to Kilkelly from Dublin this morning.

Tractor run kicks off in the capital

A GROUP of tractor enthusiasts left the Dublin Docklands this morning, commencing their 299km trip to Kilkelly.

Th eye-catching fun event is raising vital funds for the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH), and the Special Care Baby Units in both Mullingar and Castlebar Hospitals.

The Dublin2Mayo Charity Tractor Run commenced with 34 tractors but they will be joined by additional tractors at designated joining locations en route to Mayo.

Day one will take the group from Dublin to Longford, with day two bringing the group from Longford to Kilkelly, where there will be two nights of live music in the Big Red Barn in the town, including performances from Ritchie Remo, The Kilkennys, Rejig, Atlantic Rhythm, Robert Mizzell and Pamela Gilmartin.
