Castlebar mourns death of much-loved Irish dance teacher

The death has occurred of Mary Campbell (née Deere), St. Bridget's Crescent, and late of Market Square, Castlebar.

A certified Irish dance teacher affiliated with An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha, known as a T.C.R.G., she was founder of the Deere-Campbell School of Irish Dancing.

She is very deeply regretted by her loving husband Brendan, much-loved and cherished sons and daughter Joseph, Brendan Jr., Eamon and Marie, her adored doggies Tobie, Chum, Willow and Snowie, nieces, nephews, neighbours and wide circle of friends, near and far, and her colleagues of An Comhdhaíl in the Irish dancing world, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.

Mary was predeceased by her beloved son John, parents James and Mary-Kate and brothers Paddy and Jimmy.

Mary's Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, with burial afterwards in Castlebar New Cemetery.

Due to the HSE and government guidelines the funeral at all stages will be private for family only.
