Mayo Concert Orchestra's summer concert in Belcarra

MAYO Concert Orchestra presents an entertaining summer concert in Belcarra tomorrow.

The set list is chiefly a contemporary interpretation of familiar songs. From Queen to Coldplay, the rich instrumental arrangements are sure to delight and entertain.

The concert celebrates Belcarra’s local talent. New musical director Kathy Fahey hails from the area, as does acclaimed guest vocalist Ronan Egan.

Mayo Concert Orchestra is a county-wide community of musicians. Originally initiated in 1995 by George Lee, Kathy Fahey has taken over the role of director since September 2016. She is eager to build on strengths while challenging the members with fresh material.

The event is also a first for Belcarra. The concert takes place in St. Anne’s Church at 7 p.m. tomorrow evening (Sunday), with tickets available from Gavin’s on Spencer Street, Castlebar, and IT Music, Castlebar. For further updates, check the Mayo Concert Orchestra Facebook and Twitter pages and www.mayoconcertorchestra.ie.

Mayo Concert Orchestra always welcomes new musicians while relishing the opportunity to perform. Volunteers are also welcome to help out.
