A QUANTITY of power tools have been stolen in a break-in to a van at Knockaphunta, Castlebar.

Access to the Toyota Hiace vehicle was gained by drilling a hole in a door lock.

Taken from the vehicle were a generator, transformer box, two drills and an angle grinder. Gardaí at Castlebar - (094) 9022222 - would welcome information about the break-in which occurred sometime between 10 p.m. on Thursday (January 7) and 8 a.m. on January 8.
