Mayo granny's an internet sensation

THE savvy date advice granny who has become an internet sensation keeps getting cooler.

Mayo's 'Granny Eileen', who is in her 90s, proved she's still a fountain of youth having recently attended her first pop concert.

She may not have had to produce any ID to gain entry when fast rising band Everyday Day (EDS) returned home for a gig in Mayo but she certainly belied her years, wondering afterwards if perhaps she had given up going out too soon!

The great-grandmother has been enjoying celebrity status this week after her tips to granddaughter Katie on how to net herself a man went viral.

Eileen's top bit of dating advice is to get yourself down to a dance. But don't be rushing things ladies – there's no panic about settling down. Wise words.

Eileen's words of wisdom seem to be hitting a nerve with single ladies around the globe, with one commenting that 'Eileen understands the struggle' while another said that she would be taking her advice on board.
