Jessica Nolan is a higher achiever in women's sport

THE Connaught Telegraph’s Young Sports Stars of the Year 2015 award winners (in association with Baxter Healthcare).

Number 12: Jessica Nolan (soccer).

JESSICA Nolan’s contribution to the Irish Under 19 women’s team during September has certainly put her up there with the top achievers in women’s sport.

The Manulla girl represented Ireland in three European Championships qualifying games in September, from which Ireland qualified for the elite phase qualifiers, taking place early this year.

She scored in two of the games and proved herself to be a valuable member of the Irish squad.

Apart for her exploits for her country, during the year Jessica was a key player in the progress of Manulla FC, who won four major titles last season - the Mayo Women’s League, the Mayo Cup, the Mary Walsh Cup and the Connaught Women’s Cup, while they were runners-up in the WFAI Intermediate Shield.
