Pharmacy on the move

MCAULIFFE’S Pharmacy, which is located in the old John Hanley premises at Station Road, Castlebar, hope to move a short distance in the near future to the disused Brogan’s butcher shop, which faces McHale Road.

The company have applied to Mayo County Council for planning permission to demolish an existing two-storey retail/residential building, the construction of a new single storey extension to Station Road and a two- storey extension to the rear. New car parking and landscaping is also envisaged.

A decision on the planning application is due shortly.
