MAYO footballer Aidan O’Shea is looking down on all and sundry in Main Street, Castlebar this weekend.

Today (Friday) on the eve of the big match with Kildare, the large poster was placed by workmen on the topmost floors of the AIB building.

Aidan’s name and photo is being used by AIB as part of a bank promotion.A hoist - or cherrypicker as they are sometimes known – was necessary for the operation which was watched with interest by scores of passersby.

Let’s hope Aidan performs like a cherrypicker tomorrow (Saturday) plucking high ball after high ball from the skies over McHale Park.
