Mayo gardaí probing B&B break-ins
TWO B&Bs – some 30 miles apart – have been targeted by burglars.
Jewellery and a sum of money was taken in a break-in on Friday in the Maam Cross area near the Galway/Mayo border.
A grey coloured Citroen C5 car, carrying a number of occupants, was spotted acting supsiciously around the time of the break-in, around 1.45 p.m.
Those responsible for the Maam Cross break-in are believed responsible for a similar crime, also at a B&B on Friday, in the Portroyal area of Partry. Petty cash was stolen.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, a house at Cloonsunna, Castlebar, was broken into through a rear window. Gardaí are investigating all three incidents.
