No stopping David McGowan and his Glamping Village as train is now en route

BIG news is breaking at national level as a three-carriage CIG 1498 Slamdoor train is set to arrive at Dublin Port today en route to the 'Transport Themed' Quirky Nights Glamping Village in Enniscrone, a popular restort for Mayo people.

There is much disappontment with a ruling by the Irish authorities that the train, which was part of the London rail network for many years, can only be transported across Ireland during night-time hours, denying many young children the opportunity of viewing them in towns during the journey.

The train carriages will arrive at Dublin Port at 5 p.m. today but are not due to leave the docks until 11 p.m. The estimated arrival time in Enniscrone is 6 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Ballina businessman David McGowan, the proprietor of the village, brought a Boeing 767 to the now world famous Co. Sligo seaside resort earlier this year while a RAP helicoper and a yacht are also on route.

Congratulations to Mr. McGowan on being presented with a special recogniation award at the Sligo Champion Business Awards on Friday night.
