Wind warning issued as Storm Doris approaches

MET Eireann has issued a wind warning as Storm Doris passes over Ireland later today.

Strong and gusty south to southwest winds are developing and will reach gale force along western and southern coasts.

Winds will later veer northwesterly later in the night and early tomorrow, strengthening further and rain will clear to scattered showers.

Tomorrow morning will be very windy, with strong and gusty northwesterly winds and with a risk of gales for a time in coastal areas, especially close to the east coast, but winds will slowly ease a little as the day progresses.

Very changeable and unsettled weather is continuing for the rest of the week and throughout next week also.
