Man fatally injured in two-car crash at Keenagh crossroads
A MAN has died following a two-vehicle crash at Keenagh crossroads this morning, An Garda Siochana have confirmed.
The man, aged in his mid-60s, was fatally injured in the collision. He was unaccompanied in his vehicle.
His remains have been transferred from the scene to Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar for post-mortem examination.
It is reported there were two people travelling in the other car, one of whom was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Gardai in Belmullet are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them at (097) 81038.
The Castlebar to Bellacorrick is closed to traffic and diversions are in place.
