Residents angry over hedge cutting scheme

A HEDGE cutting scheme in Castlebar has angered residents of the area.

While they accept the work was needed to trim back overgrowth on the Rathbawn to Glenisland road, they believe it was somewhat overdone.

One resident who contacted The Connaught Telegraph stated: 'They cut far too deep into the hedge and it looks awful in places. More care should have been taken.'
