Passing of retired Castlebar bookkeeper

THE death has occurred Kathleen McLaughlin (née Bayley), Blackfort, Castlebar, and formerly of Wolverhampton, Manchester and Dublin.

A kind and affable woman, the deceased had been employed as a bookkeeper at the former Hynes Shoes (now Vaughan's) in Castlebar for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth, a former employee of Western Hats who was strongly associated with Castlebar Credit Union.

Deepest sympathy is extended to his son Stephen, a former secretary of the Connaught Senior League, sisters-in-law Louise and Kathleen, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her remains will be reposing at her residence on Sunday evening from 5 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. to Christ Church, The Mall, Castlebar.

Service takes place on Monday at 2 p.m. followed by burial the Old Cemetery, Castlebar.
