Mini invasion is getting underway!

WESTPORT House is set to see an invasion of Minis, old and new, this week as the 2017 Mini International Festival gets underway from tomorrow (Thursday, May 25) to May 29.

Described as a Mini Electric Picnic, the event is expected to attract close to 3,000 fans and 1,200 Mini cars, which will be proudly presented by their loving owners.

On Sunday, May 28, the International Mini Meet opens its doors to the public from 12 to 5 p.m. and all are welcome.

There will be a static show of gorgeous minis on the front lawn, which are judged on different categories. You are welcome to get amongst these gorgeous cars.

The public can visit all the traders on site so if you need any Mini car parts this is the place to source them.

There will be live music and entertainment in the Big Red Barn in the farmyard area of the estate.

Westport House will be open to the public – and included in your price of admission – with all 30 rooms on show – and you can also enjoy a Jack Daniel’s Mini exhibition in the basement.

The Pirate Adventure Park will be open. Carnival rides will also be operating, at an additional cost.

The show is open from 12 to 5 p.m. for the public. It’s €10 per person for anyone taller than a Mini – pay on the day (cash only).

For anyone wanting to enter a car to the show, you must be at Westport House no later than 10 a.m. on Sunday to set up for the show. The cost of participation is car and driver €20, passenger €10.

All participants are encouraged to park in town and walk to the show day via the Westport House town centre gate at Church Lane. There will be limited parking on the Golf Course Road.
