Death of retired Castlebar Bank of Ireland manager

THE death has taken place of William (Billy) Flynn, Maryland, Castlebar, and late of Newport.

The deceased was a former manager of the Bank of Ireland, Ellison Street, and he served as treasurer of Castlebar Community Development Association

A popular and much respected personality, he had a long association with Castlebar Golf Club and was a former club captain.

The late Mr. Flynn is survived by his wife Pattie, sons Aidan, Gerald and William, daughter Dervilla, sister Peggy (McAllister), brother-in-law Gerry (Kelly), Loughrea, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.

His remains will be reposing at his residence on Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m.

Removal from his residence takes place on Thursday at 10 a.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, for Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. with burial afterwards in New Cemetery, Castlebar.
