Special train confirmed for Westport's All-Ireland final date

WESTPORT GAA Club has confirmed it is hiring a special train to Dublin for the All-Ireland intermediate club football final in Croke Park on Sunday, February 19.

Departure times have yet to be confirmed but the train will be direct and the travel time will be two hours and 50 minutes. There will be 350 seats available.

Tickets will be offered for sale next Wednesday (February 8) from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Westport GAA clubhouse, and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The cost is €35 for adults, €20 for children/students, and €100 for a family (two adults and two children). All children aged under 16 will have to be accompanied by an adult.

There will be no alcohol allowed on the train as Westport GAA Club wants to make it a family day out. There will be no catering on the train so it will be necessary to bring your own food and water.

As this is a private train hired by Westport GAA Club, all conditions, prices, etc, are determined to make it accessible to as many Westport people as possible.

Westport, conquerors of Kerry's Kenmare Shamrocks in their last four encounter last Sunday, face Meath and Leinster champions St. Colmcille's, who defeated Tyrone side Pomeroy by 3-11 to 2-13 in their semi-final, in the February 19 showdown.
