Aoibhe is European champion

AOIBHE Carrabine won the junior European middleweight title at the EUBC European Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, yesterday (Sunday).

This was a wonderful achievement by Aoibhe and Geesala Boxing Club and a huge boost for ladies boxing in Mayo, and indeed Ireland.

Aoibhe won her sixth consecutive national title last year at the National Stadium in Dublin but this win in Sofia is the crowning glory of what looks like a serious career for this talented boxer.
