Walk like a zombie in support of childrens charity airc

CASTLEBAR’S first ever zombie walk is taking place this Halloween night, October 31, at 6 p.m. The novel event will see people transformed in support of a great cause, AIRC - Supporting Children with Disabilities.

Everyone, from babies to grannies, is invited to join in the walk. You can do your own make up or have it done for a small donation by event make up artists.

There will be a bucket collection on the night and a performance of ‘Thriller’ with Dance World Another Level on Market Square at the end of the walk. This will be followed by a Zombie Prom Night in Garbo’s at 9 p.m. with What the Funk, supported by Jam Shugar (over 18s). Admission is €10.

Make up artists will be available from 3.30 to 5.30 on the day at Mayo Leisure Point and all zombies are to assemble for the walk at 5.30 p.m.

The walk will go from Mayo Leisure Point down to Main Street, up to Garvey Way and down the link road past Dunnes Stores to Market Square, where the performances will take place.
