Shroud researcher to share her findings at exhibition opening

The Shroud of Turin exhibition opens at Knock Museum tomorrow (Tuesday, March 31). The exhibition consists of a full-size colour photographic replica of the world-famous Shroud of Turin, which many Christians believe is the cloth in which Jesus of Nazareth was wrapped and buried following his death.

The exhibition also includes original Roman nails, a replica whip and spear and information about the latest research on the shroud.

The exhibition has travelled widely and has been on display at Westminster Cathedral, the Pro Cathedral in Dublin and the North Cathedral, Cork. It is very fitting that it opens at Knock Museum during Holy Week as it traces the journey of Jesus from his trial through the events of Good Friday to the empty tomb.

The exhibition will be officially opened on Tuesday at 11 a.m. by Pam Moon, project coordinator. Pam has been researching the shroud for over 30 years and will share some of her amazing findings at the official opening. All are welcome to attend.

The exhibition will run at Knock Museum daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until April 26.
