Tv presenter will tie the knot in florence

Mick Cannon, formerly of Cannon’s Bar, Market Square, Castlebar, is busily preparing for the nuptials in September of his daughter, Lisa.

The TV3 presenter, host of Exposé, is set to marry her rugby player fiancé Richard Keatley in Florence.

Lisa (36) is a granddaughter of the wonderful Eddie Cannon who ran Cannon’s for decades until his death some years ago.

His son Mick, Lisa’s dad, is a retired schoolteacher and regularly spends time in his native Castlebar.

Although Cannon’s hasn’t opened since Eddie’s death, the premises is spick and span inside and out, and a tribute to Mick Cannon’s love of family and place.

But, back to the forthcoming wedding. Lisa has been telling VIP Magazine that preparations for the big day are quite stressful and that she is ‘overwhelmed’, despite the fact she has a wedding planner.

“It’s really quite stressful - I’m quite taken aback at the amount of work involved,” she said.
