Castlebar to host mayo colour run

CASTLEBAR is to play host to Mayo Colour Run this July 12 at Lough Lannagh.

This is a fantastic 'crawl, walk or run' family colour event, celebrating healthiness, happiness, individuality, and giving back to the community.

A fundraiser for Aware, the event is proving exceptionally popular, with tickets in high demand.

Not so much about speed or endurance and more about having the time of your life, the Mayo Colour Run is a family fun event in which participants of all ages from one to 100 years are covered from head to toe in different colours as they make their way around the lake. Trust us, this is one event not to be missed.

With only two rules, the idea is easy to follow: 1. Wear white at the starting line; 2. Finish plastered in colour.

Bring the family along, as there's lots happening on the day for everyone with barbecues, bouncy castles, face painting, music and more.
