Mayo 71 to lift sam maguire

MAYO are now 7/1 from 8/1 to win the All-Ireland SFC following their 26-point winning victory over Sligo in yesterday's Connaught final.

Sligo, who will go into the qualifiers to play Tyrone, have been pushed out to 500/1 from 250/1 to win the Sam Maguire.

Following their 0-11 to 0-10 victory over Donegal in the Ulster final, Monaghan are now 14/1 from 33/1 to bring the Sam Maguire back to The Farney County in September.

Donegal have been eased out to 12/1 from 11/2 following their one-point defeat in a match that saw the Tír Conaill men kick 11 wides in the second half alone.

Dublin remain favourites but have been eased to evens from 10/11 whilst Kerry are now 3/1 from 4/1 following their Munster final replay victory on Saturday evening over Cork.

Liam Glynn, BoyleSports’ spokesperson, said: “Mayo absolutely destroyed Sligo in the Connaught final and as a result they are now 7/1 from 8/1 to bring an end to their All-Ireland drought, which last saw the westerners lift the Sam Maguire trophy back in 1951.”

He added: “Following their Munster SFC replay victory our traders are keen to keep reigning champions Kerry on their side with The Kingdom now on offer at 3/1 to retain Sam.

Despite remaining favourites, we are happy to lay Dublin at evens as we believe they will face tougher tasks in the coming weeks ahead and have it all to do to win back the Sam Maguire trophy.”
