Funeral of mayo father who died tragically in amsterdam

THE arrangements have been announced for the funeral of Tommy Gallagher of Knockglass, Crossmolina, who has died tragically following an accident in Holland.

His remains will be reposing at Hiney’s Funeral Home, Crossmolina, on Sunday evening from 5 o’clock with removal at 7 o’clock to St. Tiernan’s Church, Crossmolina.

Requiem Mass for the repose of his soul takes place on Monday at 12 o’clock with burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery.

Aged 35, Mr. Gallagher, the father of a three year old daughter, had been living in the Amsterdam area with his Irish born partner for a number of years.

His car went into a canal on Monday evening last around 7.30 p.m. but his body was not discovered until Tuesday evening after the alarm had been raised that he was missing.

Tommy is survived by his mother, Maureen, and three sisters and two brother, to whom sympathy is tendered. He was predeceased recently by his father, Tommy.
