MISS Ireland finalists have experienced a swift departure from the usual glitz and glamour as they visit Mayo to take part in a boot camp-style break.

The finalists are on a three-day adventure trip in Westport, and their skills in the great outdoors are being put to the test in a series of challenges, both on land and at sea.

The stunning line-up of Miss Ireland hopefuls visited Westport House and Adventure Islands for the bonding boot camp to compete in activities such as laser guns, archery, kayaking and obstacle courses.

Staying on an exclusive private island off Clew Bay, this was the perfect opportunity for the finalists to get to know the other people they will share this once in lifetime opportunity, with the unrivalled Miss Ireland finale.

The trip to the Adventure Islands, Westport, is one of the most essential components of the whole experience, in my opinion. It shows the beauty inside and drive that is hugely important to the future Miss Ireland 2015,” says Sean Montague, Miss Ireland franchise co-owner.

The beauties definitely put their best foot forward, although this time it was off the runway.

One of the girls will be named Miss Ireland 2015 at a star-studded gala final in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dublin, on August 28.
