The forecast is for cloudy but dry weather over the weekend

Fine weather in store for big gaa games

NICE weather conditions are in store this weekend for GAA supporters travelling to Croke Park tomorrow for the All-Ireland SFC semi-final replay and on Sunday for the SHC final between Galway and Kilkenny.

According to Met. Eireann, cloud will linger in places on Saturday, especially in coastal regions at first, but it will be a brighter afternoon country wide with sunny spells developing and it will stay dry.

Rather cool again though, especially in northern areas with afternoon temperatures reaching only 13 to 16 degrees in moderate to fresh

Outlook is for generally dry, but cool conditions up to and including midweek with signs of more unsettled conditions developing later in the week.

Sunday and Monday will be dry, cool days with a mix of cloud and sunny spells but overall a good deal of cloud is likely.

Light variable winds and afternoon temperatures will range 14 to 17 degrees C, highest in the south. Cool nights with some patches of mist or fog and overnight lows of 4 to 9 degrees C., depending on cloud cover.
