Ballina fatal road traffic accident victim named

THE victim of a single vehicle collision outside Ballina yesterday (Wednesday) has been named as Luke Lackey (20) of Moy Heights, Ballina.

He died around 6.30 p.m. on Wednesday when his Toyota Starlet left the road at Carrentrila, about two miles from Ballina, on the old Foxford Road.

Mr. Lackey was the sole occupant of the crash vehicle.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Ballina Garda Station on (096) 20560.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the Lackey family on their tragic loss.

The funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
