Children's ward benefits from random acts of kindness

OVER the last few weeks Rita Scott who presents The Crypt Radio Show on Flirt Fm, Westport Radio, Erris Fm and Rockers Dive Radio decided to spread some Christmas cheer by undertaking some random acts of kindness.

She took to the streets giving Christmas presents to random strangers to wish them a merry Christmas (presents sponsored by Mayo Leisure Point, King Klix Photography, Finbar Hoban Presents and Mayo Movie World).

Rita and Geraldine McDonnell from Kids Party Club Mayo also went along to Mayo University Hospital and put on a Christmas puppet show for the children on the ward and also brought with them some toys donated from Mayo Leisure Point and generous people from the area.

Three very special young ladies also helped out. Megan and Zoe McDonnell and Maoliosa Durkan, all fifth class pupils from St. Patrick's NS, Cloonlyon, Charlestown, made decorations from hama beads and sold them to raise money to buy a hamper of colouring books and colours for the children on the ward.
