Passing of much-loved Castlebar woman

THE death has taken place of Bridie Moran (nee Devaney), 2 Thornbrook, Pontoon Road, and late of Rush Street, Castlebar.

A member of one of the town's best known and most popular families, Bridie was the gentle, graceful lady in the background as her late husband, Paddy, impeccably and with huge warmth, ran The Helena Bar, at Rush Street, for many decades.

She is survived by her daughters Mary, Patricia, Ann, Bernadette, Carolyn, Teresa and June, sons John, Pat, Frank, Noel and Paul, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchiIdren, nephews, nieces, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, relations, neighbours and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered

Her remains will be reposing at the Coady Funeral Home, Linenhall Street, Castlebar, tomorrow (Friday) evening from 5 o’clock with removal at 8 o’clock to her daughter June’s residence at 2 Thornbrook.

Removal takes place on Saturday at 12 o’clock to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, arriving for Requiem Mass at 1 o’clock.

Burial takes place afterwards in the Old Cemetery, Castlebar.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.
