The songs and stories of Connaught on television

A NEW, insightful 12-part series with eminent broadcaster Henry McGlade takes the viewers on a magical musical voyage around the west coast of Ireland on Irish TV.

From singers to storytellers and from ballad composers to real life characters, this is one music session that you don’t want to miss.

This week, from the picturesque backdrop of Paddy's Thatch Pub in Tourmakeady, Henry is joined by some of the finest singers, storytellers and musicians from across Connaught. Join them all as they tell of their influences and the stories that inspired them from their home county.

For this week's show, Henry is joined by Mayo singer and musician Mary Staunton, Roscommon fiddle player Sarah Egan, and Galway singer, songwriter and folk musician Seamus Rutledge.
