TK Maxx opening provides jobs boost

THE opening of the new TK Maxx store in Castlebar has provided a much-needed jobs boost for the town.

The retail outlet was officially opened yesterday by Mayo GAA star Aidan O'Shea and it attracted hundreds of shoppers.

The new store is located in the former Homebase outlet at Lannagh Road Retail Park.

Over 35 people started work in the fashion store and they are now gearing up for a busy weekend ahead as shoppers from all over the west of Ireland descend on Castlebar and its top shopping facilities.
