Mayo name team to play London

MAYO manager Stephen Rochford has named an experienced team for the Connaught championship opener against London in Ruislip on Sunday, with 10 of the side who played in the All-Ireland semi-final replay defeat to Dublin last year featuring.

Evan Regan makes his championship debut, while Kevin Keane is named at full-back instead of the injured Ger Cafferkey.

Notable absentees include Seamus O'Shea and Diarmuid O'Connor, who are both on the injury list as well. The former does take his place on the substitutes' bench, however.

The Mayo team in full is: R. Hennelly, B. Harrison, K. Keane, K. Higgins, L. Keegan, C. Boyle, P. Durcan, T. Parsons, J. Gibbons, K. McLoughlin, A. O'Shea, J. Doherty, E. Regan, C. O'Connor, C. O'Shea. The subs are: D. Clarke, D. Drake, C. Crowe, S. Nally, M. Hall, S. Coen, C. Carolan, C. Loftus, A. Moran, S. O'Shea, A. Dillon.
