Roll out the barrel at Grainne Ale Festival

THIS June bank holiday weekend sees the return of the Grainne Ale Festival at Gracy’s Bar and Café on the grounds of Westport House on Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5.

Now in its third year, the event goes from strength to strength, bringing the very best of craft beers, gourmet pizza and an amazing variety of music.

This free event celebrates the return to traditional brewing methods and showcases a range of Irish ale houses, including Black Donkey Brewing from Roscommon, the Corrib Brewing Company and Wild Bat, and the famous Longueville House Cider of Cork, while local Mayo brewers Mescan Brewery, Reel Deel Brewery and the West Mayo Brewery will also be part of the weekend festivities.

Not alone that, punters can get a great gourmet barbecue and pizzas at Gracy’s.

There’s also a host of great music, including Under the Radar, The Whileaways, The Hip Pocket Trio, David Doocey Trad Band, and The Municipal Jazz Band.

Finishing off each evening with a soulful soundtrack is Mr. Whippy Soundsystem and one of Dublin’s top club DJs guesting on Sunday, DJ Lex Woo, welcoming the summer with an evening garden party DJ set to ‘chill that mind’.
