Anger over theft of trailer in Westport

GARDAÍ in Westport are appealing for public assistance to locate a trailer stolen from the Westport Industrial Estate earlier this week.

The aluminium 8x4 twin axle trailer, with ribs and a full-length loading tailgate, was taken from a compound on the Newport Road after 10 p.m. on Wednesday night.

It has an artificial grass signage on the side, but that may have been removed.

Anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area, who may have information leading to the recovery of the trailer, should contact Westport Garda Station at (098) 25555.

There is much anger locally over the incident.
