IT is with deep regret we record the deaths of the many people from the county who passed away from December 23 to December 30 last. May their gentle souls rest in peace. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved families.

Kathleen Earley (nee Burke), Rose Cottage , Knocksaxon , Balla.

In her 94th year, she was predeceased by her husband Joe and son Thomas.

She is survived by her sons John, Joe, Kevin and Noel, daughters Kathleen Walsh and Maureen Kenny, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law and a wide circle of friends.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dhílis.

Burial took place in Straide Cemetery following Requiem Mass in St. Peter and Paul Church, Straide.

 

Mary Catherine Gilboy, Bofeenaun

 

Mary Catherine GIlboy (née Gilroy), Bofeenaun, Ballina.

Widow of the late Paddy, she mourned by her loving daughters Fiona (Wexford), Deirdre (Achill), son John (Bofeenaun), brothers, sisters, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, nehews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary's Church, Bofeenaun, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Burial took place in Bunnacurry Cemetery after Requiem Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Bunnacurry.

Deeply mourned by his loving wife Aideen, son James, daughters Kathy, Grace and Geri, sister Mary, grandchildren Richard, Nicholas, Claire and Edel, great-grandchildren Caolan and Harvey, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Burial took place in Kilcolman Cemetery following Requiem Mass in St. Nathy's Cathedral.

Kieran Walsh, Finaway, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan, and formerly Morahan, Belmullet.

Husband of Yvonne (nee McGahern) and father of Cillian, Shauna and Liam.

He is also survived by his parents Paddy and Mary Walsh, Morahan, Belmullet, brothers Ray, Castlebar, and Mark, Celbridge, sisters Colette McNicholas, Kiltimagh, Marie Byrne, Clarenbridge, and Elaine Rochford, Ballinameen, Co. Roscommon, father and mother-in-law P.J. and Marie McGahern, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, colleagues at the Ulster Bank, all his relatives and many friends.

He was predeceased by his son Paul and grandson William.

Margaret (Peggy) Walsh (née Winston), The Quay, Ballina, and late of Carrick, Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon.

Wife of John and dear mother of John, Peter (Donboyne), Kieran (Donbate, Dublin), Desmond Paschal (Kentstown) and Mary Breslin (Newport).

She is also survived by her brother Pat (Manchester), son-in-law, daughters-in-law, sister-in-law, grandchildren, nephews relatives and friends.

Interment took place in Leigue Cemetery after Requiem Mass in St. Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina.

Mary Kilcooley (née Mannion), Clar Aoibhinn, Claremorris, and formerly of Killybegs, Carndonagh, Co. Donegal.

She is survived by her husband Noel, daughters Ann Marie and Alma, sons John and Noel, daughters-in-law, Una and Claire, grandchildren Liam and Aoife, her sister Eileen, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends.

Interment took place in St. Colman's Cemetery after Requiem Mass in St. Colman’s Church, Claremorris.

Jimmy was predeceased by his sister Vera Ryan.
