Programme of landscaping projects begins in Castlebar

THE Castlebar Municipal District has commenced a programme of landscaping projects in and around the county town. 

Great strides have already been made with a scheme (photographed) at Lannagh Road, near Newtown.

A number of similar projects are in the pipeline for other locations, including roundabouts.

It is all part of an overall plan to keep pushing up Castlebar's ratings in the National Tidy Towns Competition.

Castlebar Tidy Towns have complemented the municipal district and their outdoor staff, under gardener Adrian Roache, for the work to date.
