Special flight from Knock airport to Lapland announced

IRELAND West Airport has announced a special flight to Lapland will take to the skies in December.

This one night Santa’s Sleepover trip will depart on December 12 and is a holiday of a lifetime not to be missed.

Enjoy a fairytale world of snow covered forests where you’ll visit Santa's post office and village and get the opportunity to meet “Santa” himself which is what makes a holiday to Lapland the perfect choice.

Lapland has the last remaining expanse of wilderness in northern Europe, including the coastline, forests, mountains and unspoilt rivers and in winter this becomes a wonderland of snow where you can experience the fun of snow mobiling, toboggans, a reindeer sleigh ride through the snowy forest and a husky dog ride.

From the moment you arrive in the snow clad magical world of Lapland your time is filled with things that dreams are made of.

Prices start from €929 per adult and €829 per child and include flights, 20kg bag, accommodation, food, arctic clothing and all activities. Visit www.sunway.ie/lapland or call (01) 2311800 where a Sunway representative will be happy to book a family’s holiday of a life time.

Those interested can also contact your local travel agent for more details and to book also.

Joe Gilmore, managing director, Ireland West Airport said: 'The new service will give our passengers a direct route from the west of Ireland to the home of Santa Claus as well as an opportunity to experience the Northern Lights.

'A magical trip to Lapland is a once in a lifetime experience and one to treasure forever for all the family. This promises to be the perfect one night trip to experience some arctic fun and meet Santa Claus himself’.
