Council confirms details of David Gavin Benevolent Fund
MAYO County Council has today confirmed details of a benevolent fund which has been established to assist in the fundraising drive towards the search for Castlebar man David Gavin whose body has been missing since he drowned after diving into a river in British Columbia, Canada, on June 30.
The David Gavin Benevolent Fund was set up to enable any members of the public who wish to donate to the fundraising drive but may not having access to online facilities. Â
A statement issued by the council said: “The elected members and staff of Mayo County Council stand with the Gavin family as the search for David continues and our thoughts and prayers are continuously with our colleagues Michael and Angela, David's parents, as they deal with this unimaginable situation.â€
