Early morning raids on two phone shops

FOUR individuals who wore balaclavas in separate raids on Vodafone shops in two Mayo towns are being sought by gardai.

The raids took place on Vodafone at Main Street, Swinford, and Main Street, Claremorris, in the early hours of July 27.

The front door of the Claremorris premises was smashed sometime after 3 a.m.

Nothing of value was taken.

About half an hour later, there was a similar break-in to Vodafone, Swinford. A sum of money was taken.

CCTV images of four suspects, all wearing balaclavas, are being studied by gardai.

Officers believe the two break-ins are connected.
